Mike Hadfield, Managing Director
Using a range of business models, Mike has over thirty years’ experience in providing quality diagnostic services in both the human healthcare and veterinary sectors. As a qualified radiographer and specialist in cross-sectional imaging, his clinical experience and management skills have enabled him to lead the Burgess Diagnostics team and establish them as the UK’s leading providers of mobile imaging services.
Ian Elliott, MRI Clinical Lead
Ian has over 20 years’ experience in cross sectional imaging and leads our MRI service. He also delivers lectures both in-house and to the wider veterinary profession and contributes significantly to continuous professional development (CPD) to the benefit of the staff at Burgess Diagnostics. Ian also co-authored the Handbook of Small Animal MRI, a veterinary textbook and with his wealth of experience and expertise, can always offer specialist advice and support.
Donna Smyth, CT Clinical Lead
Donna is qualified in both MRI and CT scanning, and leads our CT service which she developed in conjunction with a number of our key veterinary centres. She has 14 years' experience in both the human healthcare and veterinary sectors, and acts as our health and safety co-ordinator across the company. Donna also gives talks to nursing staff, covering the safety aspects of MRI and the imaging principals employed in both the MRI and CT modalities.
Steve Warner, Transport Manager
Steve has over 20 years' experience in mobile medical systems and is responsible for managing our logistics function. He ensures that our MRI and CT systems arrive at scanning centres safely, efficiently and on time. Steve's team also maintain the cleanliness of the medical trailers which house our systems, providing a safe working environment for animals to be scanned.
Fraser McConnell, Clinical Advisor
Fraser acts as an external advisor to Burgess Diagnostics. He is a RCVS recognised specialist in veterinary diagnostic imaging and has over 15 years’ experience in the veterinary sector. He has obtained several RCVS qualifications and a diploma from the ECVDI. Fraser is also Co-Director of AVDIS (Advanced Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Specialists) a joint advanced imaging service which he provides with Victoria Johnson. Fraser oversees regular clinical audit checks to ensure that our scan procedures remain at the highest level of quality and continue to be developed and refined.
